it's been ages since we last met up and i think we should have a reunion! how about this FRIDAY 15 AUGUST 2009 from 12PM onwards! we can have lunch together and hang out at the library/catch movie/chitchat plus gossips (HAHAH!)

and peeps who are not heavily laden with commitments during the holidays and with NO SIP, i've got a job lobang for you!

and it's YOUR long awaited OKTOBERFEST! i'm sure for those whom worked last year had lotsa fun with all the things you had done (plus the cheapo stuff) during work last year right HAHA. this year you can let history repeat itself again and with the extra $$$ too! let me know your IC and FULL NAME if you are able to comply with the following:

1) able to FULLY COMMIT for the whole 5 days (e.g no SUPP, no SIP)
2) able to work INDEPENDENTLY (e.g if your friend leaves earlier than you, you still have to stay to work no matter what)
3) DRIVEN and MOTIVATED (can work for long hours kind)
4) dont mind working long hours
5) dont mind the smoke
6) dont mind the travel distance to swiss club in Dunearn Road

some precautions to note:

1) you will be asked to leave if found you have work commitment problems which means certain days you cant work
2) if your friend leaves and you gotta stay to work, dont leave together with your friend cause you may be asked to leave and not come back to work again
3) dont bring in friends without my knowledge or the supervisor's knowledge cause both you and the friends you brought in will be told to leave and not come back again

yes this time they're pretty strict and cause i'll be sending them the names and ICs of thsoe who signed up through me. if they do not have your record they wont ask you to work so yup please be careful.

more details will be released to those whom signed up. and let me know in advance if you have friends who wanna work too. if you have any questions let me know ok? peace and chill out at the mean time!

HELLO! this is xxxx here! this is my first time blogging in accion blog or rather, in my life. yes, damn loser, i know. so this post will be very simple cause i have no idea how to do the very complicated stuff.

ANYWAY, does anyone have any cravings for an ACCION OUTING? if yes, WAVE YOUR HANDS UP HIGH AND SCREAM ME ME ME!! its been a very very long time since we had one, and i bet everyone in accion misses anyone in accion!

Here are the details:

Time: 12pm at Marina Bay Mrt (Be on time so that we can spend more time tgt- we really have to stop the tradition of being late)

There will be a shuttle bus service from the mrt to the marina barrage at every 10 min interval.

We can go there and cam whore, and play and take pictures of the utlra nice scenery at night! so please say you'll come:)

Hello ACCION!

As some of you may/may not know, I'm actually working for a facilitation company called Cheers Connect International (CCI). This Saturday (20 September), we're actually conducting a recruitment workshop at Sentosa (known as CFA19) for new facilitators. And yep, I'm the host/organizer for this event (Come support me okay! Confirm will be super fun).

Here's a background about our company and our recruitment program called Competent Facilitator Award (or better known as CFA).

Cheers Connect International

The company was established in July 2004, and is dedicated to providing fun, exciting and creative activities. These activities are focused on character development and inculcating of moral values among the youths.

Some of the activities that we conduct are CCI Challenge (similar to our Amazing Race), Leadership courses, Topography/Orienteering courses, Outdoor Adventure courses, Camps, etc.

Competent Facilitator Award (CFA)

CFA is a two-day course that we conduct for our new facilitators. The first part of the workshop will be a one day event at Sentosa where we'll be playing lots of fun-filled team bonding games, and the second part will be held during the following week at our "base" (headquarters) - West Coast Recreation Centre, Clementi.

Here are the details as followed:

1st Part - Outdoor Component

Date: 20 September, Saturday
Time: 0900 - 1800 Hours
Venue: Sentosa (Meeting place at Sentosa Station, near Food Republic)
Price: $30 (inclusive of entrance fees, lunch and course materials for both days)

* Please bring along beach wear, extra clothes, etc.
** Islander card holders are only required to pay $27 if they're going in using the card.

2nd Part - Indoor Component

Date: 27 September, Saturday
Time: 0900 - 1800 Hours
Venue: West Coast Recreation Centre, Clementi

Participants are required to attend both sessions. However, in the case of an emergency, alternative arrangements can be made for you to attend the next session.

Once you're certified and pass CFA, you're actually eligible to facilitate leadership workshops, orienteering workshops, camps, etc. Reimbursements/Salaries will be provided on a case by case basis.

Clifton Lam Jia Hao

"Ah Lam"
1987-2008

To those close to him, he was known affectionately as "Ah Lam".

To others, he was known as "Da Tou".

Clifton was a member of TPSU Executive Committee of AY06/07.
You freshies probably won't know him, but most of the GL's ought to.
He was Zilra's FA during Freshmen Orientation 07/08

And for the older ones out there, he was the Logistics Head during FO 06/07
He was, and will always be, an excellent GL, FA and most of all, a dear friend.
He was a source of inspiration, hope, and energy for those who knew him.

On 12th June, Clifton collapsed while serving his National Service in Brunei.

He was a lieutenant in the RSAF, pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot.

At 7.20pm that day, he passed on into God's hands.

Accion would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of Clifton Lam Jia Hao and also to his friends and loved ones.

Take a moment to send out your prayers to him, and the ones he left behind.
May you Rest in Peace.
You will be missed but never forgotten.

last tuesday, 1 GL, 1 HGL and 3 freshies decided to go town cause they're BORED to the max. it was just a RANDOM outing as they happened to meet and suggested it at the very last minute, as Eugene needed to get some stuff. as they were BORED, they decided to camwhore like CRAZY on their way to town but due to the limited camera space, they only managed to catch a few shots and some were SUPER memorable, like the close up shots. story to be continued and yup, here you go for the pictures!

We decided to watch the iron man movie this sat at Plaza Sing at 4.50pm.

A LOONNGG POST

hi guys.

im tJ. and this shall be my 1st post ever.

i think : D.

anyways.

everything started on this day, 26/4/08.

tJ, Sunny, Jason went to sentosa to meet up with Serene, and another dude Jeremy.

blah blah blah blah.after a day of playing in the sun on the beach, we decided to play LUGE.

at first only tJ, Sunny and Serene went to play LUGE, while Jason and Jeremy guarded our belongings. during the LUGE ride, which was tJ's first and Serene banged him.

okay then.

Sunny met a friend of Talleah; art, who gave us free tickets for two rides.

ITS LIKE FREE TICKETS MAN!!!!! 100 bucks.

okay then.

the first was peaceful, which involved tJ and Sunny constantly banging Serene.

NOW THE MAIN EVENT.

i shall upload some photos now.

this is a photo of tJ, Sunny and Serene. and this is how a LUGE vehicle looks like. which we shall call a "car".

it was decided that since that 2nd ride was going to be the last, we would make it into a race.

it started off as a normal race, however during the 1,2,3 countdown. Serene, yes, the pretty and cute gl Serene, cheated LOL. she blatantly started first at the 1 count, and got an enormous head start.however since she is a girl, and we're gentlemen we did not complain about it.

the race had a thrilling start, with Serene, tJ and Jeremy vying for the lead, while Jason and Sunny were playing it cool and wait for the perfect opportunity to overtake their opposition.

soon, the positions were, Serene and Jeremy in the front, tJ in the middle and Jason and Sunny at the back. now i shall get to their point of views.

Serene's pov : "I wanna win! I wanna win!"

Jeremy's pov : "I'm not going to lose to a girl"

tJ's pov : "I think my car's broken."

Jason's pov : "I'm so heavy but my car's not moving, according to my weight I should be first. this sucks!"

Sunny's pov : "I'm bald, so i have less wind resistance, so I'll win."

soon, they reached the midpoint of the race, and Jason finally overtook tJ, and he admitted to shouting

" BYE SUCKERS!" to tJ, and Sunny

when he overtook them. Hence the positions were now; Serene and Jeremy in 1st, Jason in 2nd, tJ in 3rd and Sunny last.

I shall now get to their point of views before the incident.

Sunny's pov : "That fat Jason just overtook me. I'm bald, I'm suppose to be winning. "

tJ's pov : "My car's really spoilt."

Jason's pov : "If I hit side of the track, I'll just rebound and continue on my course (:"

Jeremy's pov : "I'm going to bang serene and win."

Serene's pov : "I'm not going to let jeremy bang me and win."

however, Jason's pov was wrong. he hit the side of the track, which was also a sharp turn on the track, and was sent flying into the bushed at the side of the track.

These are the point of views when the incident happened.

Jeremy's pov : "I just need to bang serene once to win."

Serene's pov : "I got banged too many times today, I'm tired of being banged. It hurts."

tJ's pov : "I think I saw Jason flying, I wonder what happened."

Jason's pov : "Ow ow ow."

Sunny's pov : "I think I heard someone crash."

At this point of time, tJ realised that something was wrong, and stopped his car, and walked to the direction where he last saw Jason. tJ also asked Sunny to stop as he knew that something had happened.

Again the point of views.

Jeremy's pov : "Yay, I'm in front."

Serene's pov : "Shit, I'm behind."

tJ's pov : "Where's Jason I cant see him. Is he injured?"

Jason's pov : "Ow ow ow."

Sunny's pov : "Why did tJ stop? Why am I stopping? Where's Jason?"

tJ then went to look for Jason at the side of the tracks, where he found Jason, under his car, groaning in pain. tJ then asked "Eh, Jason you okay anot?" which Jason replied, "Ya, I'm okay."

tJ then lifted the car off Jason and put it back onto the tracks, and helped Jason up, while Sunny was moving his and tJ's cars off to the side of the road so as to not obstruct traffic, and the two competitors in front was focusing on winning.

Jason soon got back into his car and everybody proceeded to the finish line together. At the finish line, we were told by Jeremy that Serene insisted she had won cause she parked her car first even thought Jeremy crossed the finish line 1st, and that she didnt even notice that tJ, Jason and Sunny wasn't there. we are NOT TRYING to put SERENE down. (:

I shall now post a photo of Jason's injury.

this is the photo of Jason's injury. Which is quite serious.

tJ, Serene, Jason, Sunny and Jeremy then brought Jason to the medic to treat his serious wound. during the treatment of the wound, we would like to say that Jason was a real man and endured the pain of the alcohol and sprays on his wound without flinching at all.

THIS IS NOT TO BOOST HIS IMAGE AND IS TOTALLY NOT A LIE : D.

we would like to thank the medic; rab for his help, and these are the photos after the treatment.

Get well soon Jason! :D This about sums up the events that happened today.

The purpose of this post to let everybody know about poor Jason's injury and that he was a real man during the treatment. We would like everybody to show their concern for him as he is our fellow gl and an important member of our accion family.

Hello Accion!

It's me, Maybelin (: This is like the first time I'm posting on this blog, so bear with me okay! The purpose of this post is to thank all Accion FAs, HGL, GLs and Freshies for the time and effort they have put in for OTC, FOW and FOC. Previously during the camps itself I didn't manage to thank all of you personally, so hopefully you guys/ladies will read this!

As most of you know this year's FO was my last one, and I must say it's been a good one. I really enjoyed every single moment of it, and I'm sure most of the graduating students share the same sentiment. Believe it or not, all the Accion cheers are still ringing in my head.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank all my dear GLs and also HGL (Claudine!) for the dedication and efforts put in in helping us (Ger, Jingwen and me) run this camp. It's been a real pleasure working with all of you guy/ladies, really. I hope all of you learnt something from this experience, and bring it with you to future camps/events. From OTC to FOWC, all of you have gone through many obstacles together, and many of us share a bond that can hardly be broken. So I hope all of you can stay bonded even after the next FO, okay! Love you all, la. (:

To my fellow (crazy & funny) FAs Geraldine and Jingwen, thanks for tolerating all my nonsense, crazy antics and lousy jokes throughout the three camps! Had it not been for you ladies, I would have gone mad a long time ago! many loves (:

And lastly, to all Accion freshies. You guys/ladies kick ass please. Without all of you, Accion would surely be quite dead. I'm sure some of the GLs have already told you this before, but I must say it again. Your journey in TP has just begun, and I'm very sure that you'll come to love TP as much as all of us seniors do (Eh, I miss TP already!). But don't forget Accion even after you go on to other stages of your life, okay! (:

Accion wouldn't be how it is today if not for every single one of you (FAs, HGL, GLs & Freshies); every one had a part in creating the Accion legend/spirit. (:

Oh, and to all those who turned up for the Sentosa outing last Saturday: I hoped all of you enjoyed yourselves that day! Sentosa was good (I got all wet), but dinner at Vivo was even better. Our performance during the spontaneous cheering challenge with the NYP students was really WOW! I especially love the part where we did the Hooligan cheer. Imagine 100 over people doing it; quite impressive, ah. It was my first time in my entire three years that we had something like that at such a place, and I was glad to be part of it too.

BUT. Can we have more Accion outings please? Or maybe even a chalet? Hahaha (:
